Today, the team of David, Justin, and Eric are overhauling condenser boilers. An overhaul is disassembling a boiler, cleaning it, and then reassembling it. ???? Eric starts by disconnecting the electric and gas lines. As he nears the end of this, David loosens the screws holding the blower motor in place. ?? The guys remove the electric igniter and flame rod - both of which have been carbonized from normal wear and tear - and set them aside. They also remove the blower motor and set it aside for cleaning. Justin then preps the boiler for cleaning with a wire brushing and sets the hose in place. Looking out for the team, David has them wear masks before starting the vacuuming to prevent them from inhaling soot or other harmful particles.
