Have you seen Vyond’s new characters? We saw them a month ago but didn’t want to show them to you until we had a small demo like this one ? We’ve seen a boom in Vyond projects, maybe because it’s an affordable way to animate. It’s also popular because it has a quicker turnaround than custom animation. Vyond animation still takes a while to develop but it’s definitely worth it. You’ve probably seen those low-rate Vyond animators on Fiverr. We wonder if that level of quality would truly deliver the impact you're aiming for in your corporate training. And let’s be honest, some of our clients have shared stories of being disappointed by the cheap option. They ended up spending more in the long run to fix mistakes. We’re on #Fiverr too, and we’ve landed ongoing, corporate projects. Wouldn't you rather make a solid upfront investment in quality animation? Plus, with budget cuts often hitting L&D departments, it’s smart to maximize your resources. Clients come to us expecting us to handle their animation projects. They are then looking for a solution to add these animations into #Storyline courses, and be pleasantly surprised that we can easily scale their needs! Don’t settle for animation that’s just okay. Invest in a product that will be used for years on end. Tell you what - we can take on your #Vyond training needs. Just say the word and we start! #Fiverr #Animation #Vyond #eLearning #LnD #Training #LearingAndDevelopment

Two weeks ago, we posted about 4 Must-Have KPIs for eLearning products. We wanted to keep that trend going. So today we will show you 4 KPIs, but this time, for Instructional Design teams. Remember, instructional design is not just about creating content for people to kind of learn and that’s it… ID is about creating a whole learning experience, where learners can actually apply into the real world, into their jobs. So, if we don’t measure it, how are we supposed to know it worked or not? That’s what KPIs are a must, and these are a the type of KPIs you have to consider. ?? Learner Engagement As an ID team, you know that if the learners are engaged, it’s very likely that they will learn and remember the content. What are the metrics? ?? Time spent on a course ?? Interaction rates with course material ?? Participation in discussions ?? Completion Rates Courses have to be completed! If the learners don’t complete it, they could be missing some important information, and it’s also an indicator that there might be something deficient in what we as IDs developed. What are the metrics? ?? Percentage of learners who complete the course ?? Drop-off points in the course ?? Knowledge Retention We’ve mentioned “transfer” before, which is one of the most important things we have in eLearning. If the learners didn’t keep the knowledge and applied their jobs, it wasn’t worth it. That’s why you should measure knowledge retention with assessments and quizzes. What are the metrics? ?? Pre and post-assessment scores ?? Long-term follow-up quizzes ?? Learner Satisfaction We all want the learners to feel good about the training they did. A satisfied learner will leave good review, will recommend the company to their friends, and might even go for another course. What are the metrics? ?? Post-course surveys ?? Net Promoter Score ?? User reviews and testimonials We left some important KPIs behind. Should we do a Part II? Leave it in the comments. #eLearning #Training #LnD #LearningAndDevelopment #Startup #Learning #Design

Meet Nicole Boiton Samayoa, one of our eLearning Specialists??. Nico specializes in developing high-quality eLearning content, particularly in Rise and video animation using Vyond. With a keen eye for detail and a strong commitment to quality, they ensure that every course and video meets the highest standards, helping learners engage and retain knowledge effectively. In a short time, Nico has proven to be an eLearning rockstar. Their first experience in the industry was with us, as they started as a Rise developer, and quickly fell in love with it. Then, a few months later they began training in video editing and Vyond animation, which led them to becoming an eLearning Specialist. So awesome! Nico is co-founder of bylittle’s Book Club with Fátima Sánchez, a vivid cat lover, and our future CEO (inside joke. Maybe we’ll explain later??). “Let’s not forget why we do this work. Yes, creating eLearning courses, videos, and other materials can sometimes be challenging—it requires a lot of effort and thought. But in the end, it’s all worth it when you remember the people who will benefit, learn, and grow from what we create. Our work has a purpose, and that’s the best part about it!”. It’s only been a bit more than a year with Nico, but they have shown us and our clients how talented and special they are. A true pleasure to have them on our team!?? #eLearning #Training #LnD #LearningAndDevelopment #Startup #Learning

We’re back at it again!?? We’ve done an #ELHChallenge like we were used to, and this one (#481), done by yhordy arevalo, was an art piece. The challenge was to create an?interactive and immersive learning experience?about?sepsis awareness and response for healthcare professionals. Instead of a traditional course, the goal was to develop a?virtual hospital tour?where learners could engage with the content in a more?visual and contextualized?way. And for this, Yhordy was the perfect candidate to do it. He used Unity?for the 3D environment and animations,?and Articulate Storyline?for structuring the course. The process involved?storyboarding, selecting the right visuals, and ensuring a?logical flow between screens to enhance the learning experience. The final result was an?engaging, visually appealing, and educationally effective course, that can help healthcare professionals connect theory with a?realistic hospital setting. Amazing job!? Just like last time, if you’d like to have fun with the source file, drop us a comment! If you’d like access to the rest of our ELH source files, comment on the project’s post you’re interested in ?? #eLearning #Articulate #Storyline #Storyline360 #Training #HR

Today is our 3rd anniversary… Again!!!???? This post will be a very quick (and kind of a funny) story, that we think a lot of people will be able to relate to. Last year, on November 11th, we also celebrated our 3rd anniversary. We did the whole thing! An in-person and, remote party with planned activities, courtesy of our party planning committee. We also posted about it??. https://lnkd.in/ee9ppx3m It was lovely! We had a great time, and it was awesome to celebrate with our team. But here’s the thing… Later, we made the executive decision to change the date of our anniversary. We know it sounds crazy, but hear us out. The date in November was the day our founders started working on our first project. However, at that time, we weren’t an established company yet. The company was officially created on February 18th, 2022. So, yes, today is our actual 3rd anniversary. Yay!!! This was a little bit of an entanglement for us in the beginning, but isn’t that the beauty of a start up? Things change, evolve, critical decisions are made that will shape the course of the company for many year forward. If you have or had a start up, or you are an employee of one, you know exactly what we’re talking about. Everything is a learning experience, we can laugh about it, fix it, and move on, or get stuck in little silly mistakes. It’s your choice. PD: You don’t have to wish for a Happy Anniversary right now, especially if you already did it in November??. We don’t want to make it a whole deal. That will be next year, on our 4th one. #eLearning #Training #LnD #LearningAndDevelopment #Startup #Learning
It’s our 3rd anniversary!!! ?? Well, not really. It was actually on Saturday. Although we celebrated it on a different date last year… Never mind, it’s a long story. The thing: last week we were pretty busy in #DevLearn, as you might have seen already, but it’s never too late to celebrate. 3 years of developing, of learning, teaching, creating, and, without a doubt, growing. It’s been an amazing journey where we've learned SO much. Which is ironic, after all of the learning that we provide to our clients, the people that learned the most were ourselves ??. We’re bringing on incredibly talented people from all over the world who are passionate about our vision of improving learning experiences, especially in corporate America. This year has brought its challenges, but as a team, we’ve embraced a mindset of continuous improvement, always seeking new ways to enhance what we do. 3rd year, Fixing Year (spoiler for next week’s post by the way). 4th year? Growth Year. We are suited up for it’s going to be our best year so far. With new hires in our marketing and sales department, and our developers and team leads firing in all cylinders, next year will be something special! #eLearning #Training #LnD #LearningAndDevelopment #Startup #TeamWork #Leadership

We are back at it again!?? bylittle’s Design Tip of the Month is here to stay! And February’s tip is a banger. This month, we’re diving into?3D Modeling?and how it’s shaping the future of education and training. Why should you consider 3D modeling in your eLearning projects? We’ll give you a lot of reasons. Specifically,?8 reasons?why this innovative approach can revolutionize your content. 1???Simplify Complex Concepts 3D models turn abstract ideas into tangible visuals, allowing learners to explore concepts from every angle. 2???Enhance Prototyping in Learning Projects From initial sketches to digital prototypes, students can iterate their ideas and even bring them to life with 3D printing. 3???Boost Engagement and Motivation Learners feel more motivated when they can create, personalize, and share their 3D projects online, making the experience interactive and rewarding. 4???Ignite Creativity 3D modeling encourages limitless imagination and helps students develop cognitive and digital skills by turning their ideas into reality. 5???Reinforce Spatial Awareness Working in 3D helps learners understand depth, perspective, and spatial relationships, enhancing their mathematical and spatial reasoning. 6???Bring Abstract Ideas to Life Whether it’s a beating heart or a spinning turbine, 3D models make abstract concepts visible, relatable, and dynamic. 7???Develop Digital Skills Incorporating 3D tools prepares learners for a digital future by fostering critical skills needed in a tech-driven world. 8???Promote Analysis and Synthesis Creating a 3D model requires breaking down concepts into parts, understanding their interactions, and piecing them back together. An invaluable process for learning! What tools do we recommend to get started? Thank us later. ?? Tinkercad: Simple and web-based, perfect for students and educators ?? Paint 3D: Yes, Paint. Beginner-friendly and pre-installed on many devices ?? Microsoft 3D Builder: Great for formatting and preparing models for 3D printing ?? Blender: Advanced and feature-rich, ideal for higher education and extracurricular projects Incorporating 3D modeling into eLearning can transform how learners interact with content, turning passive observation into active exploration. What are your thoughts? Have you used 3D modeling in your projects before? Let us know in the comments! #eLearning #Training #LnD #LearningAndDevelopment #Startup #Learning #Design

“If you can measure it, you can manage it.” A very true statement that applies to a lot of industries, not only for sales, marketing or finance: it also applies perfectly for eLearning. KPIs in our industry exists, not only ROI. eLearningIndustry came up with 4 Must-Have KPIs for eLearning products, based on software development. ? Product Stickiness This KPI answers the question: do learners keep coming back to the product? This is crucial for every business and with any product. This is how you can calculate it:?Stickiness Score (%) = (DAU / MAU) * 100 "DAU" stands for "Daily Active Users" and"MAU" for "Monthly Active Users." ? Product Adoption This KPI answers the question: are learners adopting the product? Adoption is very important, as it tells you how engage are the learners with the training. Here's the formula you can use:?(New Engaged Users / Total Signups) * 100 ? Product growth This KPI answers the question: are new learners coming to the product faster than the existing ones are abandoning it? So, basically, this is about retention. Formula: (New Learning + Existing Learners / Dropped learners) ? Product Engagement Score The Product Engagement Score (PES) answers the question: how are learners engaging with the product overall? This is the final boss of KPIs! And to measure, you just have to calcute the average between the other three KPIs (Stickiness, Adoption and Growth). Formula: (% of Stickiness + % Adoption + % Growth / 3) * 100 Measuring is an important part of eLearning, otherwise, we are lost and filled with uncertainty. KPIs allow eLearning providers to know if our product/service is working or not, if we should make changes, what product we should promote more or delist, etc. Which eLearning KPIs do you use? Drop it in the comments! #eLearning #Training #LnD #LearningAndDevelopment #Startup #Learning

We’ve often talked about different ways to measure learning (how to do it, how not to do it) and we’ve also talked about how surveys and smile sheets are not that great as they seem. Today we want to keep that conversation alive, bringing an awesome method for measuring learning and its impact, called LTEM (Learning-Transfer Evaluation Model), developed by Will Thalheimer. LTEM is a nuanced and thorough method for measuring learning in the workplace setting. It has an eight-tier approach, where each tier can answers questions with confidence, or tell you the limitations on each subject. Sounds a bit too complicated, but it’s not. So let’s just go for it, and you will understand what we mean. 1?? Tier 1: Attendance This tier tells you the registration, enrollment, participation or completion. However, this clearly doesn’t mean that the people learned or not. So, we can say with confidence the exact reach of the training, and the limitation is that the attendance doesn’t always transfer to the job. Now you get the gist of this? 2?? Tier 2: Activity This tier measures engagement. It can be misunderstood, it doesn’t mean attention or interest. You should focus more on physical (what users do), affective (how users feel about the activity) and cognitive (how much they learn, reflect, and apply). 3?? Tier 3: Learner Perceptions This tier is all about subjective feedback about to the learning experience, that can be ask to the learner with surveys or interviews, to know their comprehension, motivation about the training. 4?? Tier 4: Knowledge The knowledge tier metrics measures the learner’s ability to recite and remember information. This problem here is that memorization sometimes doesn’t translate into actual learning. Applies better for simple concepts or terminologies. 5?? Tier 5: Decision-Making Competence This tier determines the capability of making good decisions in real-life situations, and analytics can measure the quality and accuracy of those decisions. 6?? Tier 6: Task Competence After decision-making, comes the execution of those decisions or tasks, and that’s what this tier measures. You can evaluate it immediately, or after some time to see the retention. 7?? Tier 7: Transfer When we say transfer, we are talking about the implementation of the skills learned into the actual job, which is the most crucial part of learning and training. 8?? Tier 8: Effects of Transfer This last tier measures the broader impact of learning, like the consequences on the job, the organization, community, client, etc. It’s the big picture, going beyond just the work. Apply this for measuring your learning efforts, and see the results for yourself! #eLearning #Training #LnD #LearningAndDevelopment #Startup #Learning
