You know what day it is... it's #ClassMemberMonday! We're excited to introduce you to Billy Hobbs, CEO of BWPR. Born and raised in New Iberia, Billy Hobbs has always been a natural at building relationships. So, it’s no surprise he landed in a career centered around people. Billy obtained a bachelor’s degree in public relations with concentrations in visual arts and business from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2013. In 2017, he received his Fundraising Certification from Boston University. Through agency work, Billy gained abundant experience, expanding his knowledge of the public relations industry. Then, in 2018, with the support of his peers, he launched his own public relations firm, BWPR. Together, Billy and his team have worked with individuals and companies nationwide, even securing international media opportunities for clients. Billy’s passion is storytelling and learning about clients to find the best ways to share their stories with the world. This aspect of the job pulled him in, and it’s what keeps him going. Billy is a member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), and the Executive Leadership Committee for the American Cancer Society Black and White Gala. In his free time, Billy watches the New Orleans Pelicans, travels, and spends time with his pups, Tucker and Sonny. Way to be #reppin37, Billy! #leadershiplafayette

We were honored to work with the wonderful teams at?The Current Media Inc.,?United Way of Acadiana, and others on the inaugural?Big Towns?summit. To say this two-day event was impactful for our team would be an understatement when truly sharing our feelings. We met so many incredible individuals from around the country and learned valuable information about how to help our city and cities of a similar size thrive.
