Many of the students attended to see their work on display and connect with other artists. The displays features work from students in each Maryland county, plus Baltimore. Our Youth Art Gallery is located in our Observation Gallery. Maryland Art Education Association

Annual snow parade time! Our team yesterday held its annual snow parade. The event provides an opportunity to test some of our winter weather procedures and heavy equipment. Plows, brooms, and chemical trucks are among the many types of equipment that will be used to keep travelers safe during inclement weather.

An updated look at our biggest-ever capital project, our A/B Connector and Baggage Handling System project. As you can see, the area is pretty much enclosed at this point. In the coming months, crews will focus efforts on transforming this space to a home of 5 boarding gates, new concessions and new restrooms. The new Baggage Handling System will allow Southwest Airlines to improve efficiency of baggage delivery to passengers. We're excited to chronicle this project as it progresses in the coming months.

An appreciation post for all of the custodial workers who keep the airport looking great! Many of the custodial workers you'll see throughout the airport are part of the Chimes team. Our 20+ year partnership with Chimes has provided employment opportunities for thousands of workers over the years. We appreciate their dedication to keeping the airport looking tidy. Airport Tour patch earned! Members of WTS Baltimore and Girl Scouts of Central Maryland recently spent a day at BWI Marshall Airport. The group received a behind-the-scenes look at airport operations, including a visit to our operations tower overlooking the airfield. Airport partners, including Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and American Airlines, provided an overview of their operations and careers. Thanks to all who helped make it a memorable day!
