Airport Tour patch earned! Members of WTS Baltimore and Girl Scouts of Central Maryland recently spent a day at BWI Marshall Airport. The group received a behind-the-scenes look at airport operations, including a visit to our operations tower overlooking the airfield. Airport partners, including Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and American Airlines, provided an overview of their operations and careers. Thanks to all who helped make it a memorable day!

We love celebrating new options for passengers! A Grand Opening and ribbon cutting ceremony took place today to officially welcome Nourish Markets - From Farm to Airports. Breakfast, salads, wraps and more are now available next to Gate A7.

The Airlines for America Girls STEM Day at BWI Marshall Airport yesterday was a big success! More than 100 girls from Baltimore City were introduced to careers in aviation through hands-on activities. Our Executive Director/CEO Ricky Smith spoke with the group upon arrival. Multiple airlines and industry partners participated in the event which was supported by approximately 70 volunteers. Thanks to Signature Aviation for providing a hosting space. We appreciate all of our industry partners who helped make it a special day.

Our BWI Marshall Airport community today welcomed home a fallen hero. Captain Ronald Wayne Forrester of the United States Marine Corps was killed in action in Vietnam in December 1972. His daughter, twin brother and other family members were present?for today's dignified transfer ceremony. Captain Forrester will be laid to rest on Monday at Arlington National Cemetery. Among the airport partners represented in today's ceremony: Delta Air Lines, BWI Marshall Airport Fire and Rescue Department, Transportation Security Administration (TSA), Maryland Transportation Authority Police, Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), USO International Gateway Lounge
