BWI Group is about to start 2025 Winter Testing It’s not winter yet, but the Engineering Teams from Technical Centers in Paris, Brighton, Shanghai, Turin, and Krakow are finalizing preparations to go north for testing on the groomed snow and ice surfaces of winter test sites. The upcoming winter test season starts December 1st and runs through March. BWI will be testing the latest control systems at sites in China, Sweden, and the United States – see maps below. The main focus will be on developing new brake control technologies and calibrating customer applications, but suspension validation in extreme cold conditions is also on the agenda. EMB development reached important milestone! BWI Engineering Teams based in Technical Center Kraków and Shanghai Technical Center have been recently working closely on designing and manufacturing prototype set of EMB (Electro-Mechanical Braking). Joint effort resulted in successful assembly of EMB 3rd generation prototype which is soon expected to be seen during 2025 winter testing sessions in China and Sweden. BWI Group CEO and Board Director, Mr. George Chang visited company's European Sites: Technical Center Turin (TCT) and Technical Center Kraków (TCK). The purpose of the visit was reviewing projects of key importance for the company. As announced late 2023, BWI Group is intensifying the effort to expand within the EU by building upon a solid foundation of braking products including innovative Electro-Mechanical Braking (EMB). Having ongoing brake projects is without doubts first success of the implemented strategy, currently the top-quality customer care is the priority. TCT and TCK are two sites Mr. Chang motivated and supported for the best performance.

Family Days and so-called Open Days are solid events in annual Events Calendars at every BWI Group's sites worldwide. Respecting our employees and their families we provide activities for ensuring quality time spend together at our plants and technical centers. By this we create an unique opportunity for making them familiar with our working environment and better understanding of company’s background. With such event we may proudly present our families how, by our work, we contribute to empower smart mobility and also integrate them into the BWI Group family. Last weekend Krosno Plant hosted employees and their families for factory Open Day. During specially designed tour the relatives visited key operational areas, workstations and technology stand. We demonstrated manufacturing processes and explained how complex and advanced they are. The youngest were offered a filed game along with a number of quizzes and guessing games. Sustainability Insight By the end of 2025 Krosno Plant will be empowered by a solar farm installed on the area surrounding the factory. Photovoltaic power station will cover area of 14,000 square meters. 2,420 PV panels will be used for the construction, and will produce 2,026 MWh per year. Therefore, the estimated reduction in CO2 emissions to the atmosphere will be reduced by 1645 tonnes per year. #BWIGroup #EmpoweringSmartMobility

80 years of Krosno Plant Anniversary?was solemnly celebrated by our Guests, Partners, BWI Group Managers and Krosno Plant Community during an event held on the ground of the plant. It was an unusual, sentimental and moving journey back in time - site history was reconstructed by the former and current employees memories. In fact it was all about the people. Dariusz Kucza, Plant Manager expressed his gratitude towards the Staff: “None of our successes would have been possible without the people who made and make this place. Let me express my great gratitude to all – employees, both those who have been with us for years and those who have joined us recently. It is their hard work, commitment and loyalty that are the foundation of our success.” During the event, a symbolic groundbreaking ceremony for solar park was held - Patrice Colomb, BWI Group President, EU and Dariusz Kucza, Krosno Plant Manager cut the ribbon starting the investment which is planned to be completed by the end of next year.
