At the top of the tower in the Buzz Solutions conference booth, just below the Buzz logo, are the words “Vision Power Intelligence”. For our second Conference Q&A with CEO and Co-founder Kaitlyn Albertoli we asked her to explain the term vision-powered intelligence and why it’s important. Yes, AI is part of it, but there’s much more, and Kaitlyn shares the true essence of vision powered intelligence, what we do at Buzz, and how it helps utilities improve operations. Happy Friday we’re back with “Conference Q&A”, this time running down our CTO/COO and Co-founder Vikhyat Chaudhry. The question for Vik is “From a workflow standpoint, what makes Buzz Solutions different?” At Buzz Solutions we’re focused on improving utility end-to-end workflows for inspections and substation video monitoring. When workflows are streamlined, good things happen - equipment condition issues are detected sooner, details are visible to more stakeholders, and problem resolutions are accelerated. Thanks to Vik for sharing his perspectives on this important question!

The ASCE Infrastructure 2050 Report Card was released in late March and provides a comprehensive view of the condition of fifteen different aspects of American infrastructure (https://bit.ly/42xlNp9). The Energy Grid is addressed in one of these sections (https://bit.ly/42xlTx1). In the report, the ASCE accurately outlines numerous challenges electric utilities face: · Increased demand from EVs and data centers · Federal and state greenhouse gas emission goals · A shifting mix of generation with more renewables · Extreme weather · Cyber threats · Funding — 69% of what’s required ASCE makes nine recommendations to improve energy infrastructure including a recommendation to improve grid (and pipeline) reliability by increasing frequency and effectiveness of critical asset inspections and focusing on robust risk mitigation. We think ASCE nailed that one! What are your thoughts?

Buzz Solutions is ramping up participation in spring industry conferences. When there is lull in booth traffic we like to ask our subject matter experts some tough questions and capture their thoughts on video. We call this collection of short videos our “Conference Q&A Series”. In this clip, the first in our series, we asked our CEO and Co-founder Kaitlyn Albertoli why Buzz Solutions likes working with electric utilities. Thanks to Kaitlyn for kicking off this new video series with great enthusiasm!
