Buy Idaho was established in 1986 as Idaho's statewide "shop local" network. On the consumer-facing side, we educate the community on the importance of buying local, promote members through group branding, and create opportunities for the consumer to engage with our members. On the B2B side of Buy Idaho, we provide resources, education opportunities, and facilitate B2B introductions with the goal of members utilizing their network for business needs. In addition, the Wholesale Idaho program is Idaho's wholesale pipeline connecting producers to buyers through an in-person event, Wholesale Idaho Marketplace, and an exclusive digital directory. Join us at our signature events: Buy Idaho Capitol Show, Buy Idaho Day, Wholesale Idaho Market, Buy Idaho Annual Reception, and Buy Idaho Holiday Market. It’s not too late to prepare your business for Small Business Saturday! Last year, shoppers united to support their local communities, leading to an estimated $17 billion in spending, according to U.S. consumer-reported spending. Did you know: ? 59% of U.S. consumers aware of Small Business Saturday shopped or dined at a small, independently owned retailer or restaurant that day. ? 61% strongly agreed that they discovered a small business or independently owned restaurant on Small Business Saturday where they were likely to return as regular customers. ? 86% made purchases in-store, with more consumers (53%) choosing to shop online at small businesses compared to large retailers (34%) on that day. ? 41% shopped alongside family, friends, or neighbors at a small, independently-owned business. Today, the SBA Boise District Office, Buy Idaho, Inc, Downtown Boise, and the owners of Rediscovered Books gathered to sign the City of Boise's Small Business Saturday Proclamation.
