So much momentum happening at #SXSW2025! Our boots-on-the-ground attendee Nicole Hamlin has been soaking up all the insights, and we’re excited to share some key takeaways from the weekend, check them out below!
Day 1 at #SXSW2025 brought inspiration and insights spanning healthcare, technology, and storytelling—plus some great food and views. A few key takeaways: ??Use AI to do what wasn’t possible before, not just to do more. This resonated both professionally (impact > volume) and personally, as my daughters grow up with AI. Thinking critically about what is driving your/your kids choices in tech can help to make improved decisions towards growth and passion. ?? Reframing metrics towards what truly matters is key to success, and to creating a movement. On International Women’s Day, a powerful takeaway from women's health leaders: the goal in maternal health shouldn’t be reducing maternal mortality rates —it should be healthy moms & babies. ?? There's a core difference between influencers and creators: influencers drive action; creators build authentic content. In pharma, we need creators who truly understand patients and HCPs, making content that shifts conversations in a real way. From there, we (my team at Butler/Till) can find the audience. ?? Gaming is a massively untapped space for healthcare. Why? Misconceptions about audience (everyone games!), brand safety (it can be safe!), and regulatory hurdles. The key to success? According to Kimberly Jones, Alison M. Tapia, and Dave Gluck, rooting innovation in real insights, activating across the multi-faceted gaming landscape, and having measurement plan in place to back it up can give a first mover advantage. ??? Olamaie and Chef Amanda Turner created the most amazing meal I will ever have. Definitely check them out if you're in Austin. Thank you for the invite, Jennifer Carfley!

As a women-owned/led business, every day is an opportunity to champion women, but International Women’s Day is a moment to reflect on how far we’ve come—and how much further we can go. At Butler/Till, we’re proud to uplift and empower women through action: from participating in industry events with the Healthcare Businesswomen's Association and at the Forbes Most Powerful Women Summit to championing our leaders through awards like Athena International Awards and RBJ Women of Excellence. While we celebrate our progress, we recognize the work is never done. Here’s to being an advocate, amplifying voices, and continuing to support all women. #IWD
