  • On #WorldWaterDay, let’s take action to reduce sediment pollution and keep our waterways clean. Sediment runoff harms ecosystems and water quality, but together, we can make a difference through sustainable practices. Our Water Resources, Environmental, and Stormwater teams are dedicated to protecting and restoring Indiana’s water—because every effort today helps secure cleaner water for future generations!

  • Saturday was the Central Indiana Regional Science and Engineering Fair hosted by Marian University Indianapolis. Our own, Julia Carrillo, had the opportunity to participate as a judge, engaging with junior and senior division students, exploring their innovative projects, and asking thought-provoking questions. It was a rewarding experience to support and encourage the next generation of scientists and engineers!

  • Happy Employee Appreciation Day! This week, we took some time to celebrate our incredible employees across our offices. Each office found its own way to say “thank you,” from bagels from a favorite local shop to donuts to team lunches out. No matter how we celebrated, the message was the same: We appreciate you!

  • Pay Dirt 2025, hosted by our friends at Elkhart County Soil and Water Conservation District and supported by Elkhart County Stormwater Partnership, is a wrap! We could not be happier with the turnout and valuable experience Pay Dirt provided to attendees. Our very own Stormwater Specialist, Sue Bock, took the stage as a Speaker this year, sharing her expertise on SWPPP Success: Practical Tips for Design Consideration and Field Implementation. Afterward, Sue jumped into the podcast world, joining Stormwater World Podcast host Ty Garmon, and Phil Anderson, Chief ReThinker at ReThink, for a live Q&A session. We are looking forward to seeing familiar faces at the next event, when the Pay Dirt In-Field hits the road! This year’s event will take place at the Hamilton County Fairgrounds on August 14th and 15th. See you there!

  • We were excited to attend the groundbreaking on Friday for the IndyGo Blue Line, the final piece of Indy’s rapid bus transit network! Spanning 24 miles, the Blue Line will connect the Indianapolis International Airport to Cumberland, providing safe, reliable transportation for residents across the city. The event highlighted how this project will enhance mobility, improve access to jobs, schools, and essential services, and create safer transit options — especially for students and families who rely on public transportation every day.
