Business For Good officially endorses Measure G for the County of San Diego and Measure E for the City of San Diego. Measure E was a tough one for BFG to reach a “yes” consensus. Our Advocacy Committee had a thorough, respectful discussion with differing opinions (precisely the type of democracy we envision for our nation). We at BFG know that sales tax increases are imperfect solutions. We’re also acutely aware that raising taxes is the last thing anyone wants to hear right now when everything is already so expensive. Yet given the City of San Diego’s ongoing structural budget deficit, we feel Measure E is necessary to get us back on track.
