Paul’s knowledge of military history is something special. His ability to create even more adventure through storytelling is something else altogether. Great read!

I started Bushman Journal out of an appreciation for great outdoor/adventure writers, and a feeling that there weren’t enough outlets for their art to be displayed. The goal was never anything more than showcasing talented writers such as Jurgen Schwanecke (story below), and many others that have been published through Bushman. Outdoor/adventure writers with an authentic style seem to be a dying breed, and I hope that changes. Nevertheless, I feel honored to have published the great work from several different men and women, who deserve a spotlight for their talents. And as a wonderful bonus, I call most of them friends now. Hope this doesn’t come off as some self-promoting plug for the journal. I simply just love their work, and am incredibly grateful I can play a small part in displaying it. Give it a read and subscribe for more content from amazing individuals.
