This mailer serves as a type of annual report, bringing awareness about our grantmaking and opportunities in the region. Applications for the four Bush Prizes in our region open on April 1! The Bush Prize celebrates organizations that are highly valued within their communities and have a track record of successful community problem solving. Bush Prize grants are flexible and can be used to build reserves, test a big idea or for anything else that would best support the organization’s ongoing good work. We offer this program in partnership with four community grant partners that are also known and valued in their communities: Saint Paul & Minnesota Foundation, Strengthen ND, South Dakota Community Foundation, and Good Relatives Collaborative. Check out this article in The Minnesota Star Tribune highlighting the Stripper Guild, a workplace advocacy organization that supports nearly 200 working dancers in Minnesota. Congratulations to Susan Williams for being named one of USA TODAY's Women of the Year! Susan leads Transformation Project SD, a 2023 Community Innovation grantee whose work supports and empowers transgender individuals and their families while educating communities in South Dakota about gender identity and expression.
