Azadeh Rashidi and I just attended the groundbreaking for SCHULHOF RASHIDI Architects design for the William King Museum of Art in Abingdon, Virginia. This new wing and landscape will house the amazing Worrell Collection of art. We’re so excited for the museum, the Worrell Foundation, and the town of Abingdon. We’ve installed Horizon baffles from @Autex Acoustics in multiple projects recently. In one project alone, Autex confirmed that the acoustic materials used saved 689lbs of recycled PET, equivalent to 31,496 plastic water bottles. A little preview of the Powell Hall renovation project we are working on this summer. This residence hall is getting all new mechanical and finish upgrades. There will also be new layouts for the community spaces including “spa” bathrooms and open kitchens.
