You don’t need a time machine to step back 66 million years ago to when dinosaurs ruled the Earth. You just need to visit Rowan University’s new Edelman Fossil Park and Museum! The museum and park is at the site of a 4-acre fossil quarry where more than 100,000 fossils have been unearthed, including various species of dinosaurs, reptiles, turtles and more. It features full-scale dinosaur sculptures, an interactive fossil scavenger hunt, free-roaming virtual reality and live animal exhibits. Visitors can also find fossils in the quarry, observe paleontologists in active research and enjoy a dinosaur-themed playground with accessible features. It’s a must-visit destination for dinosaur lovers and adventure seekers curious about science and natural history. Burlington County Commissioner Deputy Director Allison Eckel was among the New Jersey leaders who attended a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the new $75 million facility. Among the others were Gov. Phil Murphy, former Senate President Stephen Sweeney, State Senator John Burzichelli, State Senator Latham Tiver and Assemblyman Balvir Singh. Congratulations to Rowan University for creating this fantastic destination. For more information about the museum and park, visit https://lnkd.in/e5teFryK
