We honor the memory of the 58 lives tragically lost seven years ago. In the wake of unimaginable darkness, our city came together, embodying the spirit of Vegas Strong. We are humbled to announce that Burke Construction Group has been selected by the Vegas Strong Fund Board of Directors to perform the pre-construction services necessary for the future construction of the Forever One Memorial. This memorial will be built as a place where grief, strength and remembrance unite—a lasting tribute to those we lost and the resilience of our community.? ? We look forward to embarking on this journey with?Forever One Memorial, JCJ ARCHITECTURE and the Vegas Strong Fund Board of Directors?to create such a meaningful place. In time, this memorial will become a space of healing and reflection for all who visit, and we are honored to contribute to its creation. This morning, the Vegas Strong Fund (VSF) hosted a press event announcing a three-year campaign to fundraise for and build the permanent Forever One Memorial in remembrance of 1 October. The VSF board of directors, and project partners, including JCJ ARCHITECTURE and Burke Construction Group, along with representatives from local police and fire departments, hospitals, and elected officials were in attendance to demonstrate the strong coalition of support that is committed to honoring the survivors, victims, and their families. Yesterday at our Symphony Park II jobsite, Burke hosted a special appreciation barbeque and Safety Stand Down presentation, with Milwaukee Tool as our featured speaker. On Sunday, Burke team members participated in the annual Jus Run Vegas Strong 5K/1M to walk in memory of those victims and show support for their families, survivors and first responders.
