Our Burgo Energy Cyclists travel to Belgium for a 250 km challenge, uniting colleagues from Italy and Belgium at Burgo Ardennes. ???? ?????? – ???????? d’Italia Joining the champions of Giro d’Italia 2025, the team rides through historic Veneto and finishes in Asiago after ascending Monte Grappa. ???? ???????? – ???????? ?????????????? ???????? From our Sora plant, cyclists take on the demanding, mountainous terrain of Abruzzo alongside colleagues from Sora and Avezzano. ???? ?????????????????? – ???????????????? ?????????????? On 31 January, we published the latest version of our Recyclability Evaluation Protocol ?? https://lnkd.in/eECFeFxW This document describes the technical recyclability assessment and score calculation procedures of fibre-based #packaging items and/or materials. ?? The new additions are Part II and III, on recyclability evaluation in flotation-deinking mills and on recycling mill with specialised process for Used Beverage Cartorns (UBC). WG-1 Co-Lead Dr. Johannes Zipfel: “The motto 'perfecting #circularity together' perfectly reflects the teamwork and dedication that went into this accomplishment. It’s a joy to see the fruits of our collective effort in this important update, driving us closer to a truly circular future.” For 2025, the topics are already defined for further evolution of the protocol. Nearly every site participated this year with inventive proposals, including four ideas from Toscolano and three from Sarego and Avezzano. These innovative solutions could potentially save around 7,200 MWh of electricity and over one million cubic metres of gas! And now, the awards ?? ??Michele Trevisan of Sarego for optimising gas ramp management at the Galleri boiler ??Valentino Venditti of Sora for his pioneering heat recovery solution ??Davide Capito of Sarego for his innovative design of a unified collector for the vacuum system. Burgo Group Chairman Alberto Marchi, CEO Ignazio Capuano, and Burgo Energia CEO Sassoli Luca honoured the winners. As Capuano remarked, “The creativity and ingenuity of our employees are a valuable asset. This competition shows how innovation can arise from those who truly understand our processes and are determined to improve them with practical, sustainable solutions.” We are delighted to confirm that this inspiring initiative will continue in 2025, reinforcing our commitment to a sustainable, efficient future while nurturing a culture of innovation and environmental responsibility.
