First Look with Coughlin Porter Lundeen ? For this engineering firm, together we developed a concept around layers of nature, the built environment, and the structure supporting it all. The design revolved around mixing materials, layering textures primarily using a grid framework. After careful collaboration, we envisioned a space to honor their desire to gather and host, focusing on amenity spaces. A feature wall wraps from the elevator lobby into the gathering area – using a dimensional wooden grid it highlights rotating marketing initiatives ? Season's Greetings from all of us at Burgess Design! May your holidays be warm, merry, and bright!

This year, we brought some tropical warmth to the office and celebrated our holiday/end-of-year party in our best and brightest Hawaiian shirts. With delicious food from Marination and Cakes of Paradise Bakery, we enjoyed great company while playing games like 'Burgess Cornhole' and competing in a fun beach ball spoon race. Last week, Team Burgess had the privilege of participating in not one, but TWO amazing events! First the inspiring Helping Hands event organized by objekts to benefit Children’s Hospital and secondly the We Care hosted by MillerKnoll, supporting the Boys and Girls Club. Team comradery and giving back is at the heart of what we do, and these events allowed us to do both. Thank you to Objekts and MillerKnoll for hosting such wonderful initiatives.
