Every year at the Burger King Foundation Convention, the Foundation honors individuals who embody the Jim McLamore spirit of giving that our brand was founded on. This year the Foundation was proud to name Dawn and Kevin Haas from?K&JK Enterprises, Inc as the 2024 King of Giving. Through their continued support of the Foundation’s programs for 17 years through personal gifts, event participation and restaurant fundraising, their support reaches far beyond what we can measure, touching the lives of so many families, students and BK Team Members. Our annual Golf Classic at the 2024 Burger King Convention in Las Vegas was a hole-in-one success, bringing together Burger King Leadership, Franchisees, vendors and supporters for a morning of 18 holes. Held at Arroyo Golf Club, the event featured friendly competition, exciting contests such as longest drive to closest-to-the-pin and an award luncheon to crown the top foursome. Funds raised from the event help support our local communities through our programs. What an unforgettable night we had during the Foundation’s Evening Event, presented by Keurig Dr Pepper Inc., at the 2024 Burger King Convention in Las Vegas. Hundreds of Franchisees, supporters and vendors gathered for a 70’s disco theme gala with a special performance from pop legend Taylor Dayne. From groovy outfits to disco beats, guests enjoyed delicious cocktails, a three-course dinner and exciting entertainment, all while supporting the Burger King Foundation. At Common App, we’re committed to making college more affordable and accessible for underrepresented students. Through our incredible partnerships, we’ve expanded our outreach and connected students to life-changing opportunities. Through a combination of emails and in-app notifications, we’ve helped increase scholarship applications and diversity in applicant pools. This outreach has led to an additional $4.8 million in scholarship funding awarded to students who might not have applied otherwise. ????
