On Wednesday, November 20th, we had the opportunity to attend the UCSD Career Fair, hosted by UCSD’s SCSE and CMAA Clubs. The event attracted over 350 highly motivated students, all eager to explore potential career opportunities. Eric Burger and Selena Nichols were both in attendance, engaging with many of these students to learn about their interests in Construction Management and their professional ambitions. It was a pleasure to share our passion for both Burger and the construction industry, with the hope of inspiring these students to continue pursuing their journey in construction management.

At Burger, we believe in maintaining a healthy work-life balance, where both professional growth and personal enjoyment are equally prioritized. As part of this commitment, we were proud to host our Annual Caddy Jack Golf Tournament, a tradition that brings our office and field employees together for an afternoon of good food, golf, and a little friendly competition. It’s our way of saying thank you for all the hard work and dedication throughout the year. Cheers to fostering balance and creating moments of fun and camaraderie along the way! #lovewhereyouwork

We had the unique opportunity to assist in loading a SEAL Delivery Vehicle (SDV) into the new NAVY SEAL Museum in downtown San Diego, where we are serving as the general contractor. This impressive SDV, measuring 21 feet in length and weighing 1,600 pounds, will be suspended from the ceiling as a central feature on the second floor of the museum. Once the SDV is in place, our team will begin the restoration process, which will include patching and painting the vehicle. The NAVY SEAL Museum aims to not only honor the memories of those who have served but also to educate the public with years of history. Thank you to Todd Perry, James Patocka, Brian Drechsler, and the entire NAVY SEAL team for allowing Burger to be a part of the SDV install. Thank you to Greg Fall and CBRE team for all the guidance in achieving this momentous occasion. We’d like to extend our thanks to LA Propoint for their expertise in rigging and loading the vehicle into the building.

What an exciting morning for us all! A big thank you to Todd Perry for giving Burger the opportunity to assist in navigating this monumental piece of history. We’re all eager to see the completed space!
This morning was a significant step for Navy SEAL Museum San Diego, scheduled to open in summer or fall 2025. A SEAL Delivery Vehicle (SDV) was craned into a 2nd floor window where it will be suspended above an SDV simulator. in addition to our NSMSD staff and BOD members, media, etc, we also had an unexpected guest with Steven McConnell, a UDT-11 SDV pilot who was on Operation Thunderhead, the unsuccessful mission to rescue POWs from Hanoi, which resulted in our last fatality of the Vietnam war, LT Melvin Dry. Great work by Burger Const, ProPoint, Speedpro Imaging, Irvine Company and of course our donors for one more step towards our decades long dream of finally opening a Navy SEAL Museum in San Diego, where our NSW Force is selected, trained, based and commanded across the bay in Coronado!
