"Turn the other cheek" isn't about being passive or weak. It's about strategic, courageous resistance that exposes injustice and reclaims dignity. Jesus wasn't telling us to be doormats. He was teaching us how to confront oppression with strength and grace. When we respond to hatred with love, to violence with peace, and to injustice with righteous action, we shift power dynamics without becoming what we oppose. From Harriet Tubman to Dr. King, history shows us that faith-driven, nonviolent resistance can change the world. It's not about submitting to evil, but about exposing it and challenging it in ways that honor God and affirm our shared humanity. As Christians, we're called to a higher standard. We fight differently - through love, truth, and the power of the Holy Spirit. Our greatest loyalty isn't to any earthly nation, but to God's kingdom. However, she found renewed hope through the Life Restoration Program, where she gained valuable skills to identify triggers, stay focused on her goals, and how to implement simple safe strategies for lasting wellness. Now dedicated to rebuilding her life, Summer has secured full-time employment, and her employers are encouraging her to advance her journey by pursuing certification as a Peer Support Specialist.
