The Newbury Center is collaborating with the Study Abroad office to host an informational session about the "Your Free Pass to a Passport" grant. By attending this session you'll learn about the grant and how it helps students in need of a passport the funds to apply for or renew one. You'll also have the chance to take a passport photo. Last Friday, 35 first-generation students from BU were invited to attend the 2024 Boston Student Summit: Exploring Commercial Real Estate Career Opportunities. The event gave students an overview of the commercial real estate industry, networking opportunities, and insights from program alumni. This Veterans Day we are also sharing a story from a military-affiliated student. A'lyce Price shares how her father's military service influenced her upbringing and educational journey. A'lyce's father was a military veteran in the Persian Gulf War and was stationed primarily in Guam. This Veterans Day, the Newbury Center will share the stories of #TerrierF1RSTS who have served our country. The first feature of the day is Dora Darko! Dora serves as a supply specialist in the Ohio Army National Guard. In a recent deployment to the Middle East, she served as the supply clerk to the HHC 371 Sustainment Brigade.
