Today we celebrate the opening of Oak Street Village. Designed by CHA, the new shelter community provides individual sleeping pods for up to 40 adults, with accessibility features. As Portland and Multnomah County continue working to expand shelter capacity, Oak Street Village is an important step forward. I'm very excited that Buildskape is part of this project to give Beaverton School District students more access to drinking water. Thank you to Stephen Yamasaki and Chris Sandberg, our district partners, and Daniel Carlson and the Total Mechanical team. I'd also like to recognize Jason McCauley and John Dudley from our team for their pre-construction work, planning, and supervision of the project. When we finish this up we will have added new bottle fillers across the district, helping students stay engaged in learning and growing!

Superintendent Paul Obias and our great team of subcontractors have made tremendous progress on the Montavilla Community Village safe rest village project for Multnomah County. Thankfully we had some dry weather so Buildskape's Martin Chavez could highlight his drone photograpy skills!

This morning, our team had the opportunity to dive into an Asana training led by our CEO, Peter Chelico. Glad to have a bit of time to get out of the office and swing by our project site in SE Portland where Superintendent Paul Obias and our subcontractor partners from Duke Excavation, IES, and Foundations First NW were on-site at Multnomah County's Montavilla Community Village. We have completed demo and are currently working on excavation, utilities, and other infrastructure necessary to turn this lot into a transitional housing village. Paul and the team are pushing hard to get this project completed and in service as soon as possible! After a year and 50,000+ miles of our Superintendents using Chevy Bolts as a test case for deploying an all electric fleet, we have made the move to Ford F150 Lightnings. Our fleet is now 78% electric, and we hope to be 100% within the next 6-12 months.
