We've been keeping this a secret from you for a while. ?? But I figured we'd just come clean and say that... It is my pleasure to announce that Faura has raised a $3.5M SEED ROUND!!! ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? I wanted to tell you a little story of how we got here: Amanda S. and I met on the r/wildfires subreddit more than two years ago. We were both so united in bringing more powerful and accessible tech to the average consumer and it took a while for us to find our niche and really push for what would eventually become Faura. ?? We tested with communities and HOAs, applied for grants and participated in hackathons, and kept iterating until we landed on insurance - and this has fundamentally changed our lives. ?? Everything we do at Faura is done to continue pushing the insurance industry forward into a more resilient and profitable future. We started to realize that there was so much locked-up opportunity and that if we could align homeowners and underwriters, we could create massive ripple effects in the market. And so we did. ?? We officially launched in late 2023 and it's been a whirlwind ever since. We're working with some of the largest carriers in the world, can now understand the survivability of almost every property in the country, grew from a team of 2 to 9 people (and are still growing - we're hiring!), and have unlocked millions of dollars in excess premium for our customers. ?? This capital is not only a testament to the problem we're solving but to the industry that surrounds it. We know we're very risk adverse and in fact, Faura plays to that immensely, which is why we're so extremely excited to be partnering with such fantastic innovators in the space who have seen first-hand how these models can create more money, better margins, and safer policyholders. ?? Thank you to the folks at Harlem Capital, Building Ventures, MetaProp, Dorm Room Fund, and Triple Five Group for trusting us with this mission. It's just the beginning and we're so tickled that we have such good people and fantastic operators on our side.
