We’re excited to announce that BuildingGreen. has been acquired by the Wexley Media Group. This announcement arrives with the formal retirement of Alex and Jerelyn Wilson from the Board of BuildingGreen. As part of the transition, BuildingGreen’s Peer Networks and facilitation services have been spun off into a new entity, Green Commons led by former BuildingGreen CEO Nadav Malin.
BuildingGreen will continue to be operated as an independent, ad-free publication. Wexley Media Group partners Nelina Loiselle and Vincent Bataoel join BuildingGreen as Publishers. According to Bataoel, “We’re looking forward to updating BuildingGreen.com, returning it to an issue-based format, and working with our subscribers to advance sustainability, architecture, and society.”
Erika Heet will serve as the new Editor in Chief of BuildingGreen. Erika has previously served as the Editor in Chief of Interiors Magazine, Editorial Director at Dwell, Senior Editor at Architectural Digest, Board Member at Greenbuild International, and Board Member at the Sustainable Furnishings Council. According to Erika, “I am thrilled to be joining BuildingGreen at such a critical time in the green building movement. I look forward to supporting BuildingGreen in its dedicated service to architects, educators, and all green building professionals and proponents through engaging journalism, purposeful educational opportunities and innovative industry leadership committed to a wholly sustainable future."
