关于我们
The Building Doors campaign advocates for equal opportunities in the voice-over industry, particularly within male-dominated brands like sports. It highlights female voice actors voicing ads traditionally done by men, urging brands and agencies to embrace gender diversity. By pushing for equal opportunities for both men and women, the campaign aims to foster industry-wide equity. Building Doors is a mission-driven initiative. It’s not a for-profit or non-profit organization, but rather a community built around a shared cause.

Introducing the 2025 Door Builders! AKA, “These are my ladies…” Each woman will be featured in 2025 voicing scripts originally performed by men for male dominated brands. These women are more than just voice over actors, they are advocates for change, champions of equality, and builders of the future where every woman’s voice can be heard. Please help me in welcoming them to the Building Doors Community! Let’s goooooo!

We are sure we can’t LOVE anything more than this story from Helen Kathryn Sernett, EMBA ! Just listen to what she did! This is what Building Doors is all about. Thank you Helen for helping us build the door. Because of you other women will have greater access to opportunities that they otherwise wouldn’t have.

I want to send some love over to Christy Harst who is the brilliance behind Building Doors VO. Thanks for inspiring me! I got a commercial job voicing some social media spots that Fixated is putting together for a client of theirs. It’s all because I didn’t shy away from a casting call for deep male voices. I looked at the material, saw a potential fit, and inquired if they would consider my audition. They did, and I got the job! Keep building doors. Keep breaking down barriers. #buildingdoors #voiceover #vo #va #webmarketing #appreciation #messagemonday

Building Doors is a global initiative, now represented in seven countries. I was thrilled to connect with Tom Jauncey of London's award-winning Nautilus Marketing, a true champion of equality. We're excited to have his powerhouse agency supporting the Building Doors VO campaign! Here's what Tom has to say about the campaign: "I’m buzzing to share that I’m backing the incredible Building Doors campaign as the owner of Nautilus Marketing. Over the years, we’ve worked with global names like Amazon, SleepPro, and Dooblo, always pushing for marketing that’s innovative and inclusive. Diversity isn’t just a buzzword for us—it’s a must. That’s why this campaign, especially in the voice-over world, is such a game-changer. ? We’ve been lucky enough to snag titles like "Social Media Marketing Agency of the Year" at the Prestige Awards and "Digital Marketing Agency of the Year" at the Global Awards. While awards are amazing, they’re also a reminder to keep championing initiatives that give a voice to those who’ve been overlooked. ? As 2025 rolls in, I couldn’t be more hyped to work with Building Doors and help elevate women in the voice-over industry. Everyone deserves a chance to be heard, and we’re here to make sure that happens."

?? In 2021 I told myself that I have to attend VO Atlanta at some point. I finally made it in 2023 and learned why these events matter ???? In March of 2024 I returned thanks to some kindess and generosity from J. Michael Collins & Mark Rider ?? As Rider and I were relaxing in our room and talking about all things life and VO, he asked me "when are you gonna be on a panel?" I laughed it off. He told me to find what makes me unique and brings value to our community, thus the seed was planted ?? When I came up with the idea to SHINE the light on Disabled Voice Actors I knew I HAD to involve some of the AMAZING talents I had met at VOA in 23 and 24 ??So big thanks to my brothers and sisters Doug Tony Jackson Terry Briscoe Carlin Tools Keaston White ??Aimee Gironimi?? Tina Wilson for forming like voltron to make this dream come true. And to JMC and Jessica Mathison and all at VOA, thank you for understanding the VALUE of this topic and SUPPORTING our goal for inclusivity, accessibility and keeping work remote ?? Be sure to get tix for this game changing conference voatlanta.me and learn how folks like us VANQUISH OBSTACLES #voatlanta #disabilitypride #disabilityawareness #dontstop #acting #voiceactor #keepshining #learning #growing #lifelessons #DVAD #overcome #noquit #networking #remotework #accessibility #inclusion #americanswithdisabilitiesact
