What drives innovation in construction: necessity, creativity, or the willingness to think outside the box and invest in change?
Up next in our Innovation Series, we’re spotlighting the?MezzMaster?, a from-scratch solution reshaping how mezzanine panels are lifted and placed. While mezzanines are traditionally stick-built, the MezzMaster allows for a panelized solution. The MezzMaster was developed to address specific challenges in multilevel projects, emerging from a need to improve both safety and efficiency in panel installation.
The?MezzMaster’s development was organic, complementing and building upon the efficiencies of the PanelTable? It allows for full?job site?staging without needing to move materials around, resulting in substantial gains in logistics and speed.
With no panelizing method for mezzanines on the market, the MezzMaster attachment was born.
Through several iterations, the?MezzMaster?evolved into three distinct models:
100: Initially designed for joists with a panel size under 1,000 sqf.
150: Solution for panels constructed from heavier wide-flange beams.
200: This is a complete redesign, with weight centered above the cab that allows for double the load capacity.
In terms of efficiency, the team’s initial expectations have been far exceeded. In the beginning, placement time of 30-40 minutes per panel was considered a homerun, currently the average is about 15 minutes.
Beyond time savings, the?MezzMaster’s design prioritizes safety, allowing teams to work efficiently without manual adjustments in challenging positions. This unique combination of speed, safety, and adaptability has been transformative, and we are committed to refining these tools as we continue to lead the industry.
Stay tuned as we continue to explore the innovations that are transforming job sites across the industry.
