How Can the Construction Industry Attract the Next Generation of Workers? The construction industry is facing a critical worker shortage, with over 400,000 new workers needed this year to meet demand. As younger generations increasingly turn to skilled trades, how can leaders in construction create a future that’s both safe and rewarding for this emerging workforce? In his latest Forbes article, James Barlow, BZI CEO, shares actionable strategies to address this challenge: - Address the skills gap through training, mentorship, and continuous learning opportunities. - Provide hands-on training with modern technologies like AR/VR and mobile apps. - Foster a culture of safety by prioritizing training, open communication, and feedback. - Promote diversity by creating inclusive environments that celebrate unique backgrounds and perspectives. “As younger generations embrace trades and vocational training, particularly in construction, the industry stands at the threshold of significant change,” says James. “This shift toward skilled labor can offer a pathway to fulfilling careers and address the pressing skills gap faced by the construction sector.” Read the full article to learn how we can attract and empower the next generation of construction workers. https://lnkd.in/esMfEN5Y

David Holman thank you for the great pictures! Another incredible project kicked off by team BZI! Although BZI did not erect the steel on this project we are working on two distinct scopes. The concrete tilt-wall just started last Thursday and soon to come, later in April, will be the IMP (insulated metal panel) scope. We are excited to be working with Kingspan Insulated Panels North America on this project. These two scopes are just part of our wholistic customer approach to construction better known as Nautilus Core and Shell. This program maximizes project efficiency by synchronizing steel fabrication, steel erection, and wall erection in a single, seamless workflow. Great start at Project Whale in Wilmington North Carolina.
