Building Tomorrow's Partnerships and Communications Coordinator, Sophia Menyhert, has been named to the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition (USGLC) Next Gen Global Leaders Network class of 2025! USGLC, a Washington, D.C.-based nonprofit, champions strategic and effective U.S. foreign aid policy. Throughout this year-long program, Sophia is eager to contribute to conversations on the importance of responsible global engagement and bring valuable insights back to support Building Tomorrow’s work to ensure literacy and numeracy for all children.

We’re thrilled that Building Tomorrow’s Chief Education Officer, Whitney Warren, will be joining some of the global education sector’s top leaders at the CIES - Comparative & International Education Society Conference! As an implementer leveraging A/B testing, we’re excited to contribute to this important conversation with Youth Impact on how research can drive meaningful change in education. Strong female role models play a crucial role in inspiring young girls—both in education and leadership. Yet, too many girls still face barriers to education, limiting their opportunities and the progress of entire communities. We enjoyed hearing Assistant Professor of the Practice TJ D'Agostino Ed.D.'s words about our forthcoming research project with the University of Notre Dame - Keough School of Global Affairs and Pulte Institute for Global Development, University of Notre Dame. Transforming education in Eastern Uganda! ???? Our partners at Building Tomorrow are leveraging a community-centered approach that empowers local educators, families, and community volunteers - driving impressive progress in foundational learning. In 2024, our partnership reached 37,052 learners across 5 districts. ?? ?? An incredible 90% of participants advanced in literacy or numeracy, with 63% hitting proficiency levels—compared to just 6-7% initially. These impressive results are made possible by passionate community educators, local governments, and committed BT Fellows. ??????
