This morning, LECOM Health marked its 10-year anniversary by unveiling the LECOM Medical Center and Behavioral Health Pavilion, the new name for Millcreek Community Hospital and it's new 34,000-square-foot addition. The new addition will feature a state-of-the-art emergency room, surgical unit, intensive care unit, and cardiac catheterization lab. This milestone announcement comes as LECOM Health celebrates a decade of service. Last night at the Erie Sports Commission's Sports Tourism Awards, the Barber Beast on the Bay won the awarded for "2024 Locally Managed Event of the Year." In addition, race director Laura Schaaf and Beast Builder Andy Zimmerman were recognized for their impact on the Erie sports scene through our events.
