Building Impact

We are so excited to have wrapped another incredible #CGDriveChange Weeks of Service. With 450 CarGurus employees, from Boston to Dallas to even Dublin, coming together to volunteer and #BuildMoreImpact on-site at local nonprofits, online and at their offices! Throughout the span of two weeks, volunteers supported 25+ incredible nonprofit organizations in helping to fight food insecurity, close the opportunity gap for young professionals, revitalize outdoor spaces, introduce STEM concepts to local youth, provide resources to community members in need, and much more! We are grateful to Chi Vo and Eros Agramonte for their incredible leadership and partnership to engage Gurus in volunteering, getting hands-on, and giving back throughout this impactful #WeekofService.

In the weeks surrounding #VeteransDay, our volunteer network has come together at their offices, buildings, and online to support our nation's Veterans and Service Members. Volunteers created Wellness Packs for Veterans engaging in Home Base’s Intensive Clinical Program, an outpatient treatment program designed to treat Veterans who are struggling with invisible wounds. Volunteers wrote heartfelt notes of gratitude and customized their Packs with therapeutic resources that will support this program and help Veterans navigate their healing journey. Thank you CarGurus, Guardian Life, Davis, National Development, Amicus Therapeutics, and Columbia for volunteering with us to #buildmoreimpact in honor of Veterans Day!

We are thrilled at opportunity to engage #TeamTakeda employees from four sites across the country in volunteering to help empower and support local community members! In Exton, PA Takeda volunteers created Engineering Exploration Kits to provide hands on STEM opportunities for over 60 students at the Boys & Girls Club of Chester. In Bannockburn, IL and in Los Angeles and Thousand Oaks, CA volunteers assembled Gratitude Packs for Veterans experiencing homelessness, providing crucial essentials and kind notes of uplift. These Packs were distributed directly to Veterans in need by Jesse Brown VAMC, New Directions for Veterans and Gold Coast Veterans Foundation. Shoutout to the Pfizer team for their participation throughout their Weeks of Service as a part of Pfizer’s #175DaysofGood -?a global call to action to inspire and celebrate volunteerism in recognition of Pfizer’s 175th anniversary! During their two Weeks of Service, Pfizer volunteers engaged with youth at the Cambridge Community Center, Waltham Boys & Girls Club, and the West End House, leading hands-on STEM activities that sparked curiosity and learning. Volunteers also met one-on-one with young adults participating in YUPRO Placement’s talent community, providing resume feedback and invaluable career and networking guidance. Wrapping up their Weeks of Service, volunteers came together at Pfizer's Cambridge office to create care packages filled with dorm essentials and learning tools for college students supported by the The Wily Network. Shoutout to the National Development and Cranshaw Construction teams for braving the heat to volunteer with us to protect local wildlife habitats! Volunteers embarked on canoes, joining the Mystic River Watershed Association staff in removing water chestnuts. These invasive plants choke out all other growth if they go unchecked, degrading the habitat for birds and fish. Thank you volunteers for helping us preserve these vital environmental spaces for humans, animals, and plants alike!?#buildmoreimpact #environmentalpreservation
