Access to medical oxygen is a serious challenge in low-income countries like Liberia. Issues such as the accessibility of spare parts and a lack of skilled technicians affect oxygen delivery. To curtail these challenges, BHI and The Global Fund, as part of Project BOXER, organized a two-day Oxygen Management Training in Monrovia with health facilities managers and oxygen stakeholders in partnership with the Liberian Ministry of Health. This training covered the different oxygen systems, safety procedures, and budgeting, enabling training participants to effectively manage their oxygen plants and improve access to this life-saving medicine. In #Dorma, Sierra Leone, impactful #infrastructure is on the way! Working alongside Partners In Health Sierra Leone, Build Health International is working on two critical projects in Dorma, which are expected to shape health care service delivery. 1?? The new Dorma warehouse serves as a strategic point of supply chain and logistic management, allow medical supplies and equipment to be shipped throughout the country. ?? 2?? The new Dorma residences and training center will create space for rising nursing students to participate in residency programs, ultimately bridging the current personnel gaps in Sierra Leone's healthcare workforce. ??

BHI's Gloucester warehouse receives, stores, and ships critical construction materials and medical equipment all over the world.
