Hello, we hope everyone is having a good Thursday! Today is National Good Samaritan Day ???! Recognizing acts of selfless kindness, and the unselfish compassion for one another we all possess! This Thursday, we are uplifting Angie Janssen, philanthropist and CEO of Donii. In 2015, Angie recognized that there was an inability to connect those who are able to give with those who are willing to receive. With that in mind, she created Donii – a donation matchmaking service that allows for workplaces like us to donate items to those in need. Her belief that generosity combined with connectivity has helped meaningfully alleviate material needs for many others. Many Congratulations, Angie, for your vision and thank you for what you do to help those in need!

For today’s “Black Facts”, we’d like to highlight the fearless abolitionist and women’s rights activist Sojourner Truth. ?????? Born into slavery, Truth escaped to freedom with her baby daughter, and would later fight and win a court case to get her son back who was illegally resold into slavery. She would go on to use her voice to advocate for the rights of both Black Americans and women. Her famous speech, “Ain’t I a Woman?”, delivered in 1851, remains a powerful call for equality. Her courage, wisdom, and unwavering determination continue to inspire us today. Let’s celebrate her legacy and strive for the justice she envisioned. ? #sojournertruth #blackhistorymonth #buffalofutures #buffalony #buffalocommunity
