?? Project Update: The Rails Another McGuire Development Company and Blackfish Companies mixed-use housing project has been successfully completed in the city of Buffalo. After two (2) years of commitment and diligence, the BCC team helped ensure The Rails was delivered on time and under budget. As always, it was a pleasure working alongside ELEV8 Architecture on a project in the heart of Buffalo, and we're looking forward to the continued growth of the city we love so much. Congratulations to all on a job well done! ??
Thank you to all those who helped mark the successful ribbon cutting ceremony of our newest development project: The Rails! This event was an opportunity to showcase the project and celebrate the talented team who drove this process from concept to completion. We are proud to partner with Blackfish Companies for The Rails, which was thoughtfully designed by ELEV8 Architecture to bring a new standard of living to the Buffalo region. Buffalo Construction Consultants, Inc. oversaw construction of this more than 200,000 SF project and helped ensure it delivered on time and under budget. The Rails offers studio, one-, and two-bedroom apartments with furnished and unfurnished options available. Residents can enjoy a wide variety of amenities, including multiple co-working and WFH spaces, a two-story fitness center, golf and sports simulator, community kitchen, music room, and on-site dog park. Two commercial spaces round out The Rails. Lou Lou Modern Mediterranean is coming soon to 2939 Main Street and The Valvaere Collective is now open at 2929 Main Street. Thank you to NYS Assembly Majority Leader Crystal Peoples-Stokes, Acting Mayor of Buffalo Chris Scanlon, and University District Council Member Rasheed N.C. Wyatt for their remarks at the Ribbon Cutting and thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of The Rails!

?? Project Update: Canalside Gateway Building What a beautiful autumn day in Buffalo! A couple of our herd members were lucky enough to enjoy the sun and tour the Canalside Gateway Building site in downtown Buffalo this afternoon. Once complete, the Gateway Building will be a four-story structure with a level along the canal towpath. With an approximate 3,000 square perimeter footprint, the interior space will include public restrooms, an ADA-accessible route from street level to the towpath, commercial space, and Erie Canal Harbor Development Corporation (ECHDC) office space and conference rooms. As a firm, BCC is committed to building a better Buffalo. With the Canalside Gateway Building being constructed as one of the first structures on the North Aud Block, we are thrilled to be part of the future development of Canalside and the Buffalo waterfront. A big thank you to our wonderful tour guides (and candid models): BCC Project Manager Daniel Dechert and Rodriguez Construction Group, Inc. Project Engineer Adam Thomas! ????♀?????♂?????♂?????♀?

Phase 1 Construction: Complete Phase 2 Construction: Starting soon! BCC has loved serving as the construction manager for the Central Terminal Restoration Corp. revitalization initiative, and we're looking forward to all the improvements to come.
Can you believe it’s been seven years since Buffalo Central Terminal made the World Monuments Fund's 2018 Watch list? We were among 25 incredible sites worldwide, shining a spotlight on the need to preserve our cultural treasures! In that time, we joined the East Side Avenues initiative, completed Phase 1 Construction, selected a strong development team to help push reuse forward, received $61M from the Regional Revitalization Partnership, and started Phase 2 Construction. (By the way: Stay tuned for some EXCITING construction news at our majestic landmark!) ?? Photos courtesy of our Construction Management team at Buffalo Construction Consultants, Inc.

Congratulations to Mark Wendling, our Director of Preconstruction, who will now serve on the Board of Directors for Ronald McDonald House Charities of WNY (RMHC of WNY)! Mark has been involved with RMHC for several years, and we're thrilled to see him take on his newest role.
We are thrilled to welcome Christine Candino, CPA, and Mark Wendling, two exceptional individuals, to our Board of Directors! Christine Candino was born and raised in Western New York but left the area temporarily for college. When she moved back home seven years ago, she sought opportunities to volunteer and reconnect with her community. She found the perfect opportunity through the Ronald McDonald House Charities of WNY (RMHC of WNY) Red Shoe Society. In this young professionals group, she volunteers to support families in need while connecting with other young professionals. Now, as a member of our Board of Directors, Christine continues her dedication to our mission of providing comfort, care, and support to families with sick children. Her passion for RMHC's work is fueled by its meaningful impact on these families, offering them relief during challenging times and allowing them to focus on the health and well-being of their children. Christine serves as a Finance Manager at Rich Products Corporation. Mark Wendling is a seasoned construction management professional with over 16 years of experience overseeing large-scale projects across Western New York. As a Project Director at Buffalo Construction Consultants, Inc., Mark has successfully led multi-million-dollar developments, including the Buffalo Public School of Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management and Sumitomo Rubber USA. He excels at maintaining project budgets and schedules, integrating technology into planning and execution, and fostering team collaboration. Mark holds a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from the University at Buffalo and is LEED AP BD+C certified. As a father of four, Mark says there is no greater priority than caring for your children. "To be part of such an impactful organization that helps families stay near their loved ones while they receive the care they need is a meaningful way to support and comfort families in doing just that," says Mark. #RMHCWNY #NewBoardMembers #KeepingFamiliesClose

Today, we'd like to congratulate Joe Mannarino, one of the fearless leaders of the herd, on being recognized as a winner of the 2024 Buffalo Business First C-Level Award! ???? As president of Buffalo Construction Consultants, Joe built the company on a foundation of trust and collaboration. From 12 employees in 2017 to 85+ in 2024 and revenue growth of 353% from 2021 to 2023, it's hard to argue with the raw data. Joe's leadership has made a big difference with BCC, and now our herd has a hand in some of the region’s biggest builds, including FeedMore WNY’s new headquarters, Phase I and Phase II of the Central Terminal Restoration Corp. project, and new construction at Canalside working for Erie Canal Harbor Development Corporation. In the WNY community, he builds up future construction professionals through his work on the University at Buffalo School of Engineering Advisory Council and The Construction Exchange of Buffalo & WNY Board of Directors. Last night at The Powerhouse, Joe was honored for his award surrounded by family and herd members who have been by his side for years, and this afternoon, we'll celebrate with a herd cookout at 496. We're so proud of you, Joe! Thank you for your incredible leadership! Congratulations from all of us! To learn more about the 2024 C-Level Award, visit: https://lnkd.in/gciA9aTT
