We closed out a record year with the December 2024 Buds & Suds Saltwater Challenge. The event lived up to its hype, as a record number of teams of construction professionals from across North America joined forces to compete in the construction industry's premier big game fishing tournament and networking event in Costa Rica. The 4-day event was held at the prestigious Los Sue?os Resort on the central pacific coast of Costa Rica from December 4th - 8th 2024. The action packed event included private networking parties, amazing chef dinners, rounds of golf, ATV tours and waterfall adventures, and some amazing fishing. The event celebrations culminated with a firework show on the beach for the 24 teams of construction professionals who traveled from across North America to partake in the festivities. Records are broken at the construction industry’s premier big game fishing tournament and networking event in Costa Rica. The December 2024 Buds & Suds Saltwater Challenge lived up to its hype, as a record number of teams of construction professionals from across North America joined forces to compete in the construction industry's premier big game fishing tournament and networking event in Costa Rica. The 4-day event was held at the prestigious Los Sue?os Resort on the central pacific coast of Costa Rica from December 4th - 8th 2024. The action packed 4-day event included private networking parties, amazing chef dinners, rounds of golf, ATV tours and waterfall adventures, and some amazing fishing. The event celebrations culminated with a firework show on the beach for the 24 teams of construction professionals who traveled from across North America to partake in the festivities. Congratulations to the 1st place team sponsored by Midwest Sales & Marketing, Inc. and Able Distributing. This team from Wisconsin set a new daily record of 2,100 points on the first day by landing 5 Blue Marlin & 5 Sailfish and held the lead on day 2 to take home the title of Tournament Champions. The team was led by Matt Rodamer from Midwest Sales & Marketing and Bill Haliburton from Able Distributing and included Ryan Schraufnagel, Zach Strupp, & Brett Pfeifer from Dickenschrauf Plumbing and Robert Schmeling from Able Distributing. 2nd Place went to the Cregger Company Inc. and Cerrowire?sponsored team from the Carolinas. Patrick Kerr from Cregger Company was joined by Tradd Bruce, Troy Wright, Kevin Montgomery, and Scott Barnett from TBA Construction. After catching 7 sailfish on Day 1 and racking up 700 points, they were sitting in 6th place. They made their move on the second day of the tournament catching 2 Blue Marlin and 6 Sailfish, giving them a total of 2 Blue Marlin and 13 sailfish and 1,900 points during the 2 days of fishing. The 3rd Place team sponsored by Bradford White?was led by Cam Thomsen from Bradford White and included Paul Anderson from Andersen Commercial Plumbing, Justin Baril from Swift Water Heaters, and Robert James from Signature Sales. Catching 1 Blue Marlin and 13 Sailfish gave them 1,600 points and put them in the money and secured their spot on the stage. Congratulations to all the competing anglers for helping to make the December event one to remember.
