    ?? Open Rates seem to be getting a lot of hate these days, right? But before we jump on the bandwagon, let’s think this through. ?? Yes, Open Rates aren’t as reliable anymore. With privacy updates and email filters, they no longer paint the full picture of engagement. But don’t ditch them just yet! ?? They still provide some value, especially around deliverability and initial interest. Let’s shift focus to metrics that matter more for eCommerce: ?? Click-Through Rate (CTR) ?? A high CTR can actually help improve your sender reputation. It signals to email providers that users find your content valuable. Conversion Rate ?? Don’t just track the final sale. Break it down: Which email content or segment led to the highest conversion rate? Revenue Per Email (RPE) ?? Look for patterns—certain email types, offers, or times of year can dramatically increase RPE. Make them your go-to strategies. Engagement Rate ?? Engagement rate is an underrated indicator of long-term brand loyalty. The higher it is, the more likely your audience is to stick around. Bounce Rate ?? A low bounce rate can improve inbox placement, while a consistently high one can hurt your sender score and deliverability. Unsubscribe Rate ?? A spike in unsubscribes can be a signal to review not just content, but your send frequency. Are you overloading your audience? List Growth Rate ?? SHIPPING times or fees are stealing the sale at checkout. Solution: Reward big carts with zero fees. ?? The focus is on DISCOUNTS when it should be on VALUE. Solution: See what happens when you stop undercutting your offer and start upselling it. ??? The site sucks. Simple. The UX has been sacrificed for aesthetics. Solution: Make it ugly if you have to, as long as it’s fast and clear. ?? There’s no User Generated Content. Solution: We’re in the TikTok times.
