Topic & ??????????????:? Mentor-Mentee Meet Up & Program Kick-Off – What can I expect? How to make the most out of it? Who are the mentors? Yen-Cheng Chen is a senior scientist at Merck. He got his chemistry PhD from Georgia Tech for understanding and using photophysics of fluorescent proteins to improve fluorescence microscopy. He later studied viral protein distribution (i.e., HIV-1) with super-resolution fluorescence microscopy at Emory University at his postdoc. Since 2023, he has been building super-resolution imaging capability and collaborating with therapeutic areas in Merck. He also joined BTBA as part of the Taiwanese biotech community in Boston. Ya-Ting Hsu is a Research Associate on the R&D team at Axonis Therapeutics, where she supports the IND package for the company’s lead compound in epilepsy treatment and contributes to developing new models for neuroscience studies. She completed a co-op at Vertex Pharmaceuticals in 2023, focusing on CRISPR gene editing in in vivo studies and further refining her expertise in biotechnology and translational research. With over ten years of experience across molecular microbiology, protein purification, histology, NGS, and in vivo studies, Ya-Ting is passionate about applying her scientific knowledge to advance therapeutic innovations. #BTBA #Mentor #Mentee #networking

Both have been deeply involved in BTBA for many years, and their dedication and contributions have significantly shaped our community. We would like to take this moment to sincerely thank everyone for your advice and support throughout the past year. Your involvement has not only helped us grow but also made it possible to successfully organize every panel event and our annual symposium. We are truly honored to have shared these experiences with you, which have provided us with invaluable memories and learning opportunities.
