Good news everyone! We've decided to extend our CFP an extra week until March 10th. This means that if you have a talk or workshop you'd like to present, we'd love to consider it. If you're on the fence about submitting we'd encourage you to submit. Several members on our planning committee have been previously accepted to speak at other events from last minute submissions. We're also looking to fill out our schedule with a range of experience and topics! Bottom-line: don't self select out. :)

There's still time left to submit your conference talk abstract for this year's BSides Boulder event. CFP closes on 3 March and abstracts can be submitted here: https://lnkd.in/gw6Fidcv In addition, take a look at some of the fantastic talks we had last year. Today we highlight Jason Haddix keynote for #bsidesboulder24 discussing the utility of and how to build generative AI prompts to support red team, blue team, and purple team use cases. In it, he demonstrated some of the models he created and then ways he tests the prompts, providing practical guidance on prompt engineering aka how to ask AI questions to retrieve meaningful answers. There's also so excellent AI generated art in his talk and an obligatory homage to some excellent OG hacker culture lore. Full video available here: https://lnkd.in/g8HXCWBQ

New year, new #BSidesBoulder! Well, sort of. We are beginning to roll out some strategic initiatives we started late last year as part of our iterative improvement design goal. Here's a brief snapshot of some of them: - Grow our annual event, scheduled for 13 June this year - Uplift website - REDACTED logo related item - Improve community engagement/enhance outreach efforts - Drive DEI - Refine internal processes, SOPs, documentation, and other necessary, but boring admin stuff Did you know that our CFP just opened just opened? We are accepting conference talk submissions through 3 March. We encourage you to apply here -- https://lnkd.in/gAg_tYXk -- and will automatically discard any GenAI written submissions. Trust us, from last year, it is very easy to spot them. Need inspiration or want to get a feel for the types of talks that have been accepted in the past?
