Good news everyone! We've decided to extend our CFP an extra week until March 10th. This means that if you have a talk or workshop you'd like to present, we'd love to consider it. If you're on the fence about submitting we'd encourage you to submit. Several members on our planning committee have been previously accepted to speak at other events from last minute submissions. We're also looking to fill out our schedule with a range of experience and topics! Bottom-line: don't self select out. :)

Reflecting on Natalie Somersall’s 2024 BSides Boulder talk, "Whodunnit - git repository mysteries," she provided an in-depth look at the complexities of tracking changes in git repositories, from identifying who made a change to understanding the security risks involved. Actively Detecting Intruders With Cyber Deception Tools," he provided insight into using honeytokens to detect intruders early, giving defenders the upper hand. This talk also covered the evolution of cyber deception tools and practical approaches to implementing honeytokens at scale. Today we highlight Jason Haddix keynote for #bsidesboulder24 discussing the utility of and how to build generative AI prompts to support red team, blue team, and purple team use cases. In it, he demonstrated some of the models he created and then ways he tests the prompts, providing practical guidance on prompt engineering aka how to ask AI questions to retrieve meaningful answers. New year, new #BSidesBoulder! Well, sort of. We are beginning to roll out some strategic initiatives we started late last year as part of our iterative improvement design goal.
