Whilst AI’s ability to digest and respond to information at pace offers enormous potential to enhance sustainability and support our pathway to net zero, there are heightened concerns about the energy used in processing the data that sits behind AI. Therefore, it’s key to consider the steps we can take to reduce the carbon footprint of an organization’s AI systems. This new technical report is intended to help AI developers and deployers measure productivity gains, cost efficiency and overall performance of AI compared to more conventional technologies, to help inform implementation decisions. As cybersecurity emerges as a critical priority in BSI’s Supply Chain 2025 report, the recent release of Information Security Incident Management standard (ISO/IEC 27035-4) offers a great framework to help protect global business from cyber threats.
