The White House can emphasize AI adoption and international leadership as it crafts its "AI Action Plan," BSA said in comments filed last week. By setting clear and consistent national AI policies that follow international AI governance standards, the US has the opportunity to promote AI adoption for US citizens, businesses, and government agencies. BSA, along with Adigital, CCIA Europe, Global Data Alliance, Information Technology Industry Council (ITI), and Zwi?zek Przedsi?biorców i Pracodawców / Union of Entrepreneurs and Employers, is calling on the European Commission to revise its draft rules for how businesses share and access data under the Data Act. The proposed contract terms are too complex, unclear, and could even clash with existing laws like GDPR.
