Many people on LinkedIn have an opinion - but really no clue. Those who really know often keep quiet, especially if there is something to gain or lose. Which makes the convo here shallow and often just wrong. ??♂? We spent a LOT of time ??, effort ?? and money ?? to learn that hard truths, and I think some of them are too valuable to keep to myself. Not saying I am 100% right - learnings & observations are subjective. But I am not afraid to talk about them in public - and discuss the real topics! Join me for a hot take session with my dear colleage Maximilian Paterson Also, this is a much requested webinar following up our hot takes sessions at LegalGeek. This time, we have more time and - hopefully - different opinions in the room. ??? Talking about elections: Not a secret that I am a fan of the LegalTechnology Hub Team because they do a great job and push the needle. Now for the first time LTH publishes numbers on usage and its interesting to see what people are looking for. Of course happy to see BRYTER up there - but also interesting that Harvey made it up there in record time. And the Jigsaw team integrated LTH as their default search function I recon? ;-) Nicola Shaver Jeroen Plink Joanna Sidhu Micha-Manuel Bues Arron Westbrook Maximilian Paterson

Not going to lie: last week was a pretty special one. During the Microsoft AI tour I had a chance to sit down with?Microsoft CEO, Satya Nadella, to discuss what we can do together. We already collaborate with Microsoft, but we will do more - stay tuned! My personal takeaway: Satya is impressively knowledgeable even in niche verticals. He knows what is going on in other industries, he knows the key players, technologies and challenges. For someone managing 230,000 people and servicing the entire business world, this is extraordinary. Microsoft’s big move towards AI is something he drives. He wants to build an ecosystem around the technology and they are serious about it. Some interesting learnings from the other “not so public” sessions, fireside chats and dinners: ? “Legal is an important and focus vertical for Microsoft, and it is clear that we will invest in geo and industry-specific hosting/cloudspace.” ?? “Microsoft is maybe the most horizontal workflow company - BRYTER is a vertical workflow company, this makes a lot of sense.” Microsoft’s strategy is to partner with verticalized companies to build an ecosystem — a smart way to approach markets. ??“You cannot get fit by watching other go to the gym”. Straight-forward advice for business leaders: get your hands on the tech YOURSELF. Play, test, learn. Understanding this technology is too important to delegate. ? “There will be blood in the water.” First movers will have the advantage. You need to be fast at leveraging tech to have a competitive advantage. Heated discussions amongst attendees - as you imagine. Thank you Jan Sudworth & the Microsoft Partnership team for supporting and making this possible. Micha-Manuel Bues Michael Hübl Joanna Sidhu János Szedelényi Amr Abdelwahab BRYTER
