Pandemic Center Senior Adviser Seth Berkley recently spoke in Rwanda at the #AMREF African Health Agenda International Conference. He discussed vaccine access and manufacturing, lessons learned from emergency preparedness and recent hemorrhagic fever outbreaks, and the need to shift priorities toward prevention and primary health care (PHC).
I participated in a number of excellent panels at the AMREF African Health Agenda International Conference. The mood here is disappointed at the sudden changes in the global health architecture but defiant. We discussed vaccine access and manufacturing, lessons learned from emergency preparedness and recent hemorrhagic fever outbreaks & the need to change priorities towards prevention & PHC. An excellent conversation at a critical time.
