Did you know an AI query uses almost 10X more energy as a simple search engine query? That means if you're an outdoor industry brand, AI implementation has consequences far beyond your bottom line. Data centers are scrambling to find new sources of energy to power hyperscaled facilities to meet the AI computing demand. Very often, that means using more fossil fuels. So your customer, who is likely environmentally conscious, will take note of how, when, and why your brand uses AI. Is your implementation serving the customer? Or is it AI for AI's sake? If you need help deciding, we'd love to chat. Book a call with Dan: ?? https://lnkd.in/ggd-2iWD

We like the way this guy thinks...
AI is going to be a great tool in the future. But the discussion about it so far has largely neglected one key fact: Humans are more important. More important how? ?? Humans know how, when, and why to adjust a strategy. ?? Humans are, well, the foundations of everything we do and they deserve deference over simple tools. ?? Humans know a lot of stuff. They did, after all, feed AI all of its knowledge. ?? And humans understand the difference between building for building's sake, and building for positive impact. When I was a Boy Scout many years ago, before we were even allowed to pick up a knife, we had to earn a "Totin' Chip" card that showed we had learned the skills, safety, and responsibility associated with carrying and using a knife. AI is a knife. At this point, it's a very dull knife, which does more damage when it cuts skin. Learn to use it safely, properly, and responsibly. But a knife just sits on a table if a human isn't using it. It's completely useless without a person to wield it properly. And you know what? That human probably also knows how to use a saw, an axe, maybe even some power tools like a drill. The knife just knows knife. Okay, a quick plug: we have a lot of awesome humans working at Brown Tie Media and we would be honored to use the tools we've collected over the years to help you build your brand. Check us out, or schedule a call with me to chat. ?? https://lnkd.in/gEUMPC7h ?? https://lnkd.in/gWDQTdiA

From our Content Strategy Lead, Malissa Rodenburg, for Johns Hopkins University's Hub. How risky is that pint of beer? *closes eyes and crosses fingers, chanting "please not too risky, please not too risky..."*
How risky is that pint of beer? Report links alcohol to increased cancer risk. In my article for Johns Hopkins University's Hub, Dr. Otis Brawley gives a lesson in risk management. https://lnkd.in/ghGJNxqb

What makes this moment great for Lime isn't that a celebrity rode his bike to the Met Gala. They could have paid any star to do that, and it probably would have looked forced and inauthentic. What really makes this a success is a very small touch: The down tube of the bike is filthy. That just sings authenticity, as though Chalamet simply picked up the bike somewhere in Manhattan just like anyone else would, and rode to the Met Gala in an absurdly expensive suit. The small touches matter so, so much.
Cycling to the red carpet: ? "Timmy really said, “Let’s ride.” Taking a page out of David Byrne’s?#MetGala?playbook,?Timothée Chalamet arrived at the London premiere of “A Complete Unknown” via bike. Not just any bike, but a Lime e-bike, which he rode onto the red carpet." Via Vogue Magazine / Instagram. Lime

Our friend Zap Espinoza lost his home in the fires currently burning in Los Angeles. Like all the people who have been affected by this massive event, Zap needs our help. If you can spare anything to the GoFundMe set up on his behalf, we at Brown Tie Media would deeply appreciate it. https://lnkd.in/g8XRF6sg

How should your business compete with Google's AI search results? It shouldn't. Here's what to do instead. 1) Focus on authentic, well-researched content. All of your content should serve your customers. Give them useful, entertaining, and thoughtful content and you'll build a relationship that will keep them coming back. Your website can become a learning resource or entertainment hub, which gives you more opportunities to convert visitors to buyers. 2) Ramp up your email marketing game. Email is a great way to reach your customers without all the noise of public platforms and competition. Emails give you the spotlight so you can deliver your message clearly, with measurable results. 3) Harness your Google Business profile. Small and medium size businesses in particular can use Google Business profiles to communicate with customers, provide updates, and showcase the best and brightest of your business. Don't forget to include photography that shows off your products, services, and team. 4) Don't sleep on local SEO, brick and mortars! If you haven't used Google Trends, it's time to get started. It's a great way to find out what your potential customers are actually searching for and tailor your website and other business profiles to those searches. If your business operates in a specific locale, this is an opportunity to ensure your community can find you (online and in person), trusts you, and looks to you to fulfill a specific product or service. The goal isn't to compete with AI search results. You won't win against the tech giants, after all. But by focusing on stellar content for your website that serves your customers, and honing the tools at your disposal to put your business in the spotlight, you can boost sales in 2025 by positioning your business as an authoritative voice in your market. If that sounds like a lot, that's because it is! We can help. Email [email protected] to set up a call today. #contentmarketing #ai #marketingstrategy #brandstrategy #emailmarketing

I've never, NEVER seen digital marketing folks so aligned on where the industry is going. Out of 22 contributors (all notable folks) to this piece, 12 said variants of the same thing: - Stop focusing exclusively on traditional search engines & search traffic - Start being present in the places where your audience pays attention - Traffic isn't the right the metric anymore Maybe 2025 is the breakout year for Zero Click Marketing ??????
