“Oppenheimer” was history. Nuclear weapons are not. That was the message that our #MakeNukesHistory campaign brought to Hollywood in the lead-up to this year's Oscars. Over the course of six weeks the bold, multichannel campaign leveraged Oscar buzz around Christopher Nolan's "Oppenheimer" to make sure people weren't just talking about the movie, they were also talking about the modern threat of nuclear weapons. This week, Make Nukes History won two #AnthemAwards—the bronze award for best strategy and the silver award for best guerilla marketing. ?? The results are in: NTI's #MakeNukesHistory campaign has won two #AnthemAwards! The campaign, which leveraged Oscar buzz around Christopher Nolan's #Oppenheimer to engage Hollywood on nuclear issues, was awarded a silver medal for best Stunt or Guerilla Marketing and a bronze medal for Best Strategy. As NTI's Elise Rowan writes for Atomic Pulse, "when the biggest movie of the year is about the biggest problem facing humanity … you launch a campaign to remind Hollywood that we can make nukes history."
