Alison was elected to the City of Pompano Beach Commission in November 2022 to represent the residents of District 3. Alison is very active in the community and is always willing to help! She currently owns and manages long term residential rental properties throughout the City of Pompano Beach and is a Realtor with LoKation Real Estate. We are honored to have Alison on our Board of Directors!

Broward Children’s Center specializes in helping infants, children, and young adults with special healthcare needs. Founded in 1971, our nonprofit facilities located in Pompano Beach, Florida, offer a range of health, wellness, education, recreation, therapeutic, daily living, and advocacy services. In the delivery of these services, our overriding goal remains to provide the highest quality of life possible to those we serve. Since our inception, thousands of children and their families have benefited from BCC programs. The needs of these children and their families have led the Center to pioneer the development of community-based residential facilities, and state-of-the-art educational and recreational programming for those who are medically fragile and/or developmentally delayed.

Please join us in welcoming Vidya Maharaj, MPH, CSSGB to our Children’s Comprehensive Center esteemed Board of Directors. Vidya is a dynamic entrepreneur who launched her own restaurant Diya Miami in 2020, making it into a premier vegan eatery in Miami Beach. She has pioneered new trends in food delivery and consumer packaged goods. Vidya is also a trailblazer in public health and pharmaceuticals. She led a groundbreaking initiative with the White House and CDC to combat the Zika virus in Miami-Dade County. We are honored to have Vidya on our Board of Directors!
