BBF Grant Expands Food Assistance in South LA ?? Food insecurity remains a pressing issue in South Los Angeles, where families face economic hardship and displacement. BBF’s grant to Universal Community Health Center is helping expand their food distribution program—ensuring low-income and uninsured individuals have access to essential nutrition. At just 12 years old, Vincent’s future was uncertain—until he received a life-saving mitral valve replacement through VOOM Foundation. Two years later, he’s thriving in school, playing with friends, and dreaming of becoming an engineer or doctor. BBF’s latest grant to VOOM Foundation is helping more children like Vincent in Nigeria access critical cardiac care by funding open-heart surgeries, medical supplies, and patient support. The organization has provided urgent essentials like food, clothing, and hygiene supplies. ?? BBF’s grant will help sustain ongoing support, financial relief, and health services for those in need. 1,500 Patients Treated with BBF’s Support! Through BBF’s pharmaceutical support, Train Them to Fish provided essential medical and dental care in Uganda, treating 1,500+ patients and distributing vital medications. As families in California continue recovering from January’s devastating wildfires, BBF has expanded its support for the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank with a third grant. Since the fires began, the Food Bank has distributed over 24.5 million pounds of food and essentials—valued at more than $39 million—to individuals in need. Recently, we received photos from Malawi showing children using mobility carts provided through one of our shipments. These carts are transforming lives by giving children with mobility challenges greater freedom and access to education. Our partners shared, "Whatever you send to us is so useful.
