Great night at City Council in Broomfield! First, our community celebrated National Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) Month. Then, the council approved $1.43 million in HOME funds from the Boulder Broomfield HOME Consortium to support the creation of The Grove at Cottonwood—a community that will provide 40 rental homes for Broomfield’s neighbors with I/DD! BHA is so fortunate to be surrounded by and supported by incredible agency partners like FRIENDS of Broomfield, Imagine! and the Association for Community Living. A special appreciation goes out to the families, parents, and courageous self-advocates who have been on this journey with us!

Thank you to the Colorado Department of Local Affairs State Housing Board for awarding $1.2 million from the National Housing Trust Fund to support The Grove at Cottonwood. This funding will help create 40 rental homes, offering a mix of one- and two-bedroom units designed for independent living while fostering a strong sense of community. With amenities that promote connection, engagement, and stability, The Grove will be more than just housing—it will be a place where residents can truly thrive.
