Year over year, Brooklyn has outpaced the other boroughs, including Manhattan, in terms of new business formation, showing an increase of 2.1%. ?? The only constant being change is never more true than now. This week the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce conducted its annual legislative visit to #WashingtonDC to meet with legislators and policy makers representing Brooklyn and issues our membership cares about. Needless to say, much will change over the next few weeks and months, but our issues and concerns, along with future opportunities, will continue. During the trip we did engage in a healthy dose of bipartisanship, and we sought consensus around issues of universal concern including taxes, energy policy, workforce development and support for our hospitals. I want to thank all of our congressional representatives and our two NYS Senators for taking the time to meet with the group.
