Our annual House Party was one for the books: a heartening night of community and music with over 400 guests, 30+ performers and three free public stages. Thank you to our Host Committee, guests, staff and artists for believing in BKCM's mission and making it all happen. And thank you to House Party's generous sponsors for making this party possible: JPMorganChase, Perkins Coie, Seward & Kissel LLP, Hirschen Singer & Epstein LLP, Park Slope Copy Center and PBDW Architects. We can't wait for House Party's 10th Anniversary celebration next November! If you'd like to learn more about the event, please reach out to [email protected].

We aim to transform lives and build community through the expressive, educational and therapeutic powers of music.
关于我们
Founded in 1897, the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music has been transforming the lives of New Yorkers through music for over a century. We offer private music lessons in every major instrument, as well as group classes, Suzuki method, orchestral and choral ensembles, and on-site music therapy at our historic home in Park Slope. These students range in age from 6 months to 104 years! We provide music instruction to schools and community centers all over New York City, reaching more than 4,000 public school students each year, 80% of whom live below the poverty line. We also provide clinical music therapy to over 1,400 kids and adults with special needs each year, both at our Park Slope facility and at schools and community-based organizations across the five boroughs. Throughout the year, we present 200 concerts and community events on average, many of which are free to the public. Our mission is to remove the barriers that hinder anyone from experiencing music, and to provide New Yorkers of all ages the tools to lead more empathetic, more empowered, more joyful lives.

BKCM is making a major, last minute change to the House Party, our legendary fall fundraiser. Tomorrow night, we will have three FREE stages of live music outside our building from 7-10 PM to the whole community. EVERYONE is welcome. We need music, and we need to be together. Our free, public stages are on 7th Avenue in front of BKCM, on Lincoln Place, and at Cousin John’s next door. For the sold out, paid portion of the event that takes place throughout BKCM’s five story building and gardens, we are releasing 100 more General Admission and VIP tickets. Ticketed guests will have access to 15 more stages of music, delicious food and plentiful drinks. All event proceeds fund music education, music therapy and support for emerging and professional musicians in NYC. As Stevie Wonder once said, "Love's in need of love today." We hope you'll come be in community with us tomorrow.

As we prepare for our House Party on November 7th, we’re focusing on getting all the little things right to make it the most dazzling party yet. But for today's artist reveals, we’re going all in on the big things (or rather, big bands). Let’s welcome three high-octane acts that’ll have you up on your feet all night long: ?Sugartone Brass Band Formed in 2002, SugarTone Brass Band has become a cornerstone of the New York brass scene, one of the first bands of its kind in the region. Founded by Moses Patrou and co-led by Kenny Bentley, the band is dedicated to preserving and celebrating the vibrant tradition of New Orleans music. With a rhythm section steeped in the sounds of the Crescent City and fiery frontline horns that bring the house down, they deliver an electrifying mix of original tunes and classic second line brass band hits. ?Cole Quest & the City Pickers Cole Quest and The City Pickers, led by Cole Quest—grandson of folk legend Woody Guthrie—bring a fresh, high-energy twist to traditional bluegrass. Rooted in New York City, this talented group blends original songs with timeless classics, delivering a sound that captures the heart of bluegrass with modern flair. ?Eggs Benatar That's right — the House Party's de facto House Band is BACK! Made up of core members of the BKCM community, Eggs Benatar comes together just once a year for House Party to play the beloved hits of Pat Benatar. Always high energy, always a crowd favorite, we can't wait to see them up on the Concert Hall stage again! Catch them all LIVE on November 7th at House Party 2024. Tickets available here https://bkcm.org/hp24/
