Wishing a (belated but heartfelt) happy birthday to the Bronx Borough President Hon. Vanessa L. Gibson, MPA (She, Her, Hers, Ella). We appreciate everything you do for the Bronx and most importantly for our children. Thank you :-) Looking forward to “Thriving in ‘25”!
I had the honor of representing Bronx Children's Museum at the Bronx Borough President’s State of the Borough Address at Lehman College. It was inspiring to hear Hon. Vanessa L. Gibson, MPA (She, Her, Hers, Ella) emphasizing her commitment to protecting the future of the Bronx—its people, culture, and opportunities. ? At Bronx Children's Museum, we know that investing in children means investing in the future of our borough. We’re excited to continue our work alongside leaders who share our vision of a stronger, more vibrant Bronx. Looking forward to “Thriving in ‘25”! #ThriveIn2025 #StateOfTheBorough #BronxStrong

Yesterday, I had the privilege of attending a City Council hearing at City Hall (such a beautiful building!) discussing DCLA’s initiatives and the current crisis so many organizations and institutions face with budget cuts to funding these vital initiatives for fiscal year 2026. I had the opportunity to testify on behalf of the incredible organization I work for, the Bronx Children's Museum. Typically, give me a mic and a topic, and I can take it away! I enjoy public speaking and challenging myself with each new speaking engagement to captivate an audience through my storytelling skills. But yesterday, commanding the room for those (long) 3 minutes in front of such a powerful audience such as the City Council committee, colleagues from various cultural institutions & organizations throughout NYC, was truly an exciting experience. Without the arts & cultural experiences, New York City wouldn’t be the hub of the world!! #ArtsMatter #Bronxpride #BronxKids

What better way to celebrate this month’s?#MultiCulturalDayatBxCM?“Food” theme than with the incredible?Alexander Smalls, @thejamesbeardfoundation?award-winning chef, restaurateur, and now children’s author! Alexander graced us (on his birthday weekend no less!!!) with a reading from his delightful new children’s cookbook,?"When Alexander Graced The Table", sharing a heartwarming story about food and family. The kids had a blast getting hands-on in the activities, molding their own family meals with colored dye, construction paper, and clay. It was a fantastic day of learning how involving young ones in the meal preparation process not only enhances sensory and fine motor development but also builds confidence while creating precious bonding moments and memories.?#FamilyFun?#CookingWithKids?#CulinaryAdventures?#BxCM
